CARLOS JONES and the P.L.U.S BAND BENEFIT TO RAISE AWARENESS OF ADULTS WITH AUTISM AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES

Cleveland, Ohio – Little Fish Records announced today that
Carlos Jones & The P.L.U.S.
Band (aka The Peace, Love, Unity Syndicate) will be performing at West Park Station to benefit adults with Autism, Developmental Disabilities and mental health diagnosis on August 16, 2015 from 1 to 3 P.M. 17015 Lorain Ave., Cleveland Ohio, 44111. West Park Station is located at Kamm’s Corner, at Lorain and Rocky River Drive; ample parking is available behind West Park Station.

This 2 hour reggae will feature great original material as well as Bob Marley tunes and more.

Tickets are $20.00 at the door, which will include food. Art work, jewelry and craft vendors will also be available which are made by individuals with disabilities as well as local artists. If you wish to be a vendor please contact Deanna at 440 561-9314.

Expressions of Diversity (EOD) advocates for adults with Developmental Disabilities, Autism and the multi-diagnosed with behavioral problems and will benefit from the proceeds of this fundraiser.  The organization was created to provide a creative, calm, therapeutic and safe environment as an alternative to the cramped, overcrowded and at times, aversive environment of the “workshops”.

Proceeds are needed to support operation costs, supplies and equipment.  EOD has an excellent, experienced and dedicated team of staff who serve these individuals. Those participating in the program are individuals who have behavioral and aggressive issues which would only increase these tendencies in a larger, more populated setting. The families and guardians of these individuals have sought Expressions of Diversity out because of what is offered.  This fundraiser will go a long way towards helping EOD to keep their doors open while they wait on funding.

This benefit also showcases the opening of their store, “Express Yourself” which will showcase jewelry, artwork and more created by those with disabilities at the center, as well as local community artists.  A  raffle will be held for some of these choice items donated by the artists.
